Asian markets opened mixed, with Japan, Australia, tracking overnight developments. Nikkei 225 gained +0.28% to 64,105.00, Shanghai Composite rose +0.33% to 3,878.60, Kospi advanced +0.40% to 6,744.97, Hang Seng edged up -1.45% to 24,355, and S&P/ASX 200 gained +0.26% to 8,694.90. Japan reported trade balance data, while Australia released employment figures and markets reacted to RBA policy statements.
Crude oil is trading around $105 per barrel with WTI at $102.22, while gold is near $4,306 and silver around $63.84, Commodity prices are being influenced by geopolitical developments, dollar moves, and supply-demand concerns.
The U.S. 10-year Treasury yield is at 4.99%, while the 2-year yield stands at 4.72%. The DXY is trading near 100.30, with EUR/USD at 1.1463, GBP/USD at 1.33 and AUD/USD at 0.70.
GIFT Nifty is trading around 23,215, indicating a negative opening for Indian equities compared with the previous Nifty close of 23,140.
USD/INR NDF level is near 96.13.
